COVID – 19 Resources

My ACOP Family,

I truly feel that ACOP is a family! We have members that have developed relationships over many years, newer members, and students and residents that are on their journey to become pediatricians. As a family it is critical to support each other through this difficult time. We are facing an unprecedented pandemic with COVID -19. The scope of this challenge is enormous and changes every day. We want to thank and honor all of you who continue to serve on the front lines of this continuing pandemic.

As more areas begin the re-opening process, it is even more important to remain up to date on the rules and regulations affecting your patients and families, as well as advice on how to return to our “new normal” safely. This will become apparent as the temperature warms up and activities move outdoors for the summer months.

The Board of Trustees and Communications Committee have developed resources to assist you through this time. These include up to date information on the pandemic, telemedicine and office management resources, and support for patients and their families and the healthcare team.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic the spring ACOP conference in Colorado Springs was cancelled. We have also made the difficult decision not to participate in OMED 2020, but our CME committee is hard at work to create a virtual conference to be held over two weekends in November and December in order to continue bringing you the best Osteopathic Pediatric education and AOA Category 1A CME credits.

Please take proper precautions for your own safety and mental well-being.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.

Jacqueline Kaari, DO
ACOP President
